1957. In the village of Faja in County Clare, where nothing has changed for a thousand years, change is coming. First, the rain stopped. No one remembers when it started: perpetual rain on the west coast of Ireland is the norm. But then the local priest Father Coffey heralds the arrival of electricity, and the clouds seem to disperse. Seventeen-year-old Noel Crowe is spending the summer in Faja with his grandparents, and then, along with the harbingers of the future - electricians - the mysterious Christy appears and brings with him a huge universe of past and secrets to be revealed, as well as a lot of live Irish music.

Nill Williams owns the technique of holographic writing, when the whole cosmos fits into a grain of sand and is expressed by the same grain of sand.
