Sasha and Zhenya have been best friends since childhood: together at school, at training and all weekends. One day 8 of their life a girl appears from a bus stop. Sasha and Zhenya both notice her, but neither of them dares to approach. These furtive glances could continue further, but the stranger looks more and more gloomy every day, and then disappears altogether. After a while, friends meet a girl on the subway - beaten, dirty, with an impenetrable gaze. Sasha and Zhenya help her, bring her to their place and find out her terrible secret. Now they are the only ones whom Vasilisa, a stranger from the bus stop, can trust, in whom she can find support and warmth. Vasilisa remains in Sasha’s apartment, since he lives alone, abandoned by his family. Zhenya endures her tyrant father and her mother’s indifference. But when they are together, the world changes: there are no more past traumas, cruelty and indifference. Sasha, Zhenya and Vasilisa come together after school graduation and spend all their free time together: they study, help each other and talk heart to heart. They are growing up rapidly, and the older they get, the more clearly it is clear: their relationship is not just friendly. Sasha, Zhenya and Vasilisa are connected, and they have to protect their connection from the prejudices and malice of the outside world. Will they be able to overcome all obstacles without losing themselves and their feelings? Will society accept them for who they are—young, bright and loving? Yana Tkacheva is the author of the epic fantasy dilogy “Gods as People.” This time she writes not about a fictional world, but about the real world and the love story of three adults. Each of the heroes carries a load that many would find overwhelming. But Sasha, Zhenya and Vasilisa find strength for this test in support and trust in each other. Contains obscene language.
