Книга "Чукотка" є неймовірно цінним джерелом інформації про життя чукчів та їхню культуру в період, коли Радянська влада тільки починала освоювати цей віддалений регіон. Автор, як директор школи-інтернату, надає читачеві унікальну можливість заглянути в повсякденне життя чукотських дітей та їхніх сімей, описуючи їхні звичаї, традиції та виклики, з якими вони стикалися. Етнографічні відомості, які представлені в книзі, роблять її не лише літературним твором, а й важливим історичним документом. Хоча деякі проблеми можуть бути згладжені, це не зменшує цінності матеріалу. Переклад, хоч і має деякі недоліки, все ж передає дух оригіналу, що робить читання приємним. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цікавиться культурою та історією корінних народів Росії, а також тим, хто хоче дізнатися більше про цей унікальний регіон.
