“Songs of Negroes” is a cycle of poems by the talented American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (English: Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, 1807 - 1882).*** The book includes eight works in which the author describes the difficult life of black slaves. This is the poet's contribution to the American abolition movement. Already during his lifetime, Henry Longfellow enjoyed great popularity among readers.
