“Songs of Negroes” is a cycle of poems by the talented American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (English: Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, 1807 - 1882).*** The book includes eight works in which the author describes the difficult life of black slaves. This is the poet's contribution to the American abolition movement. Already during his lifetime, Henry Longfellow enjoyed great popularity among readers. He is known not only as a poet, but also as a translator; his translation of Dante’s “Divine Comedy” is especially successful.

The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
