Автор майстерно передає атмосферу Індокитаю, створюючи яскраві образи місць та персонажів. Читач відчуває, як Бреннер бореться не лише з зовнішніми ворогами, але й зі своїми внутрішніми демонами. Хоча текст перекладено з використанням штучного інтелекту, це не заважає насолоджуватися історією, хоча іноді зустрічаються незначні недоліки в перекладі.
