Вражаюча та емоційна історія про життя Пу І
Ця книга стала для мене справжнім відкриттям. Автор вдало поєднав спогади останнього імператора Китаю з архівними матеріалами, що дозволяє читачеві глибше зрозуміти трагічну долю цієї історичної постаті. Життя Пу І, наповнене контрастами, від розкоші імператорського палацу до суворих умов в'язниці, змушує задуматися про природу влади, свободи та людської гідності. Спогади його дружин та близьких додають ще більше емоційності та особистісного виміру до цієї історії. Хоча переклад тексту місцями може бути не ідеальним, це не зменшує загальної цінності книги. Я б рекомендував цю книгу всім, хто цікавиться історією Китаю та хоче дізнатися більше про одну з найтрагедійніших постатей в історії
