Автор майстерно передає емоції персонажів, їхні внутрішні конфлікти та боротьбу за виживання в умовах фінансової кризи. Росс, Демельза та Елізабет знову стають центром уваги, і їхні стосунки стають ще більш заплутаними та напруженими.
