For fifteen-year-old Joe Martin, the summer of 1977 brings punk rock and reggae, disco girls, beer in pubs and stolen cars. Life is good - until he is beaten and thrown into a canal with his best friend Smiles. Jump forward to 1988 and Joe is riding home on the Trans-Siberian Express. After three years of working in a Hong Kong bar, he reflects on the ups and downs of the past years and comes to terms with the tragedy. Jump to the year 2000. He has settled down well - he makes a living as a DJ, selling records and tickets to fights. Everything is great - until a face from the past appears in front of him, and he is again left alone with the nightmare of that night in 1977. It's time to bury the skeletons.
