Цей роман став для мене справжнім відкриттям! Автор майстерно відтворює атмосферу епохи, в якій жила Катерина I, показуючи не лише політичні інтриги, а й людські емоції, страхи та сподівання. Слабка та розгублена, вона стає символом боротьби за владу і виживання в жорстокому світі, де кожен крок може стати фатальним. Я була вражена глибиною персонажів та їхньою складною психологією. Однак, варто зазначити, що переклад тексту, хоч і загалом якісний, іноді містить не зовсім коректні фрази, що може відволікати від читання. Незважаючи на це, роман залишає глибокий слід у серці та змушує замислитися над природою влади і людських стосунків. Рекомендую всім, хто цінує історичну прозу та глибокі психологічні портрети персонажів!
