Dylan Thomas (1914–1953) was an English poet, writer, and playwright. He passed away early, without leaving a large creative legacy: a little more than 100 poems, about 50 sheets of prose, and many unfinished works. It was incredibly popular in England and America, as it symbolized a new wave in literature, a kind of “violent revival.” For American youth, the poet generally became a cult figure.
