Dylan Thomas (1914–1953) was an English poet, writer, and playwright. He passed away early, without leaving a large creative legacy: a little more than 100 poems, about 50 sheets of prose, and many unfinished works. It was incredibly popular in England and America, as it symbolized a new wave in literature, a kind of “violent revival.” For American youth, the poet generally became a cult figure. The collection contains stories written by Dylan Thomas over the years, and the most delightful phenomenon in his work is the play “Under the Shadow of Milkwood,” which describes a small Welsh town. This is a work sparkling with humor, attracting with amazing lyricism, written by the hand of a great master.
