In the self-proclaimed Republic of Upper Burunda in northern Central Africa, a dozen Russian citizens who arrived there to build a railway disappeared without a trace. One of them is a former colleague of FSB General Alekseev, who once saved his life. The general turns to his, as he calls it, “field agent with broad powers” Yuri Yakushev with a request to search and rescue the missing Russians. This is not an order, but only a request, but Yuri does not think for a minute about the answer: after all, they explained to him in training that the landing force does not abandon its own in trouble. Together with two volunteers - his former commander and his (commander's) wife - Yuri Yakushev goes to the distant Upper Burunda, full of surprises and deadly dangers...
