The book contains conversations and teachings of Russian elders - from the Venerable Nil of Sorsky and Paisius Velichkovsky to our contemporaries: Archimandrite John (Krestyankin) and Archpriest Nikolai Guryanov. The teachings of the great elders indicate not only the path to salvation, but also reflect the spiritual experience of the Russian people, church customs and traditions. For hundreds of years, faithful students carefully recorded and preserved the teachings of their teachers. This was done with the hope that the words of the elders would not be lost, but would be heard everywhere, always and at all times. Now this priceless spiritual treasure is available to the reader of our book.
