Elder Hieroschemamonk Ephraim of Katunak (Papanikitas; 1912–1998) is a disciple of Elder Joseph the Hesychast, an ascetic of Holy Mount Athos. During his lifetime, he became widely known as the continuer of the ancient ascetic tradition of hesychast prayer. The book contains fragments of the elder’s life story, his instructions, advice, and interesting memories about him.
