In the next book of the large series “Publications of the Center for Social Sciences” (small series “LOGICA SOCIALIS”) we included the first complete translation into Russian of the classic book by J. Hoffmann (1922–1982) about the laws and rituals of social behavior of people during face-to-face meetings . The book gives an idea of Hoffman’s “dramatic” or “theatrical” approach to sociology, analyzes the stage production of human micro-interactions, techniques for theatricalizing one’s own activities, etc. The book is intended for sociologists, social psychologists and all students of these disciplines.

Його ідеї про театралізацію поведінки надають новий погляд на те, як ми сприймаємо один одного в соціальних ситуаціях. Книга не лише теоретична, але й практична, адже вона допомагає читачеві усвідомити власні соціальні ролі та взаємодії. Хоча переклад з використанням штучного інтелекту має деякі недоліки, загалом текст читається легко і зрозуміло.
