“The Blessed Child” is one of the best novels by Lyn Ullman, a Norwegian writer, literary critic, daughter of the famous director Ingmar Bergman and actress Liv Ullman. Three sisters are going to visit their father, who lives secluded on the island. They have not seen him for many years, and this trip seems to them to be a kind of farewell: their father is old and he does not have long to live. The sisters, each in their own way, remember the last summer they spent on the island, overshadowed by a tragic and mysterious incident in which everyone was involved.
