Sookie, a student at a Boston college, travels halfway across the country to visit her grandfather, a Lakota shaman. Her traveling companion is running from the police after an unsuccessful attempt on the alleged culprit of the disaster. He is also mysteriously connected to computers, hears Voices from the future and heads to Nebraska to find out the secret of his past. How will their journey through a country gripped by panic and a premonition of impending doom end? Scientists and military men, androids and creatures from ancient legends...
