Among historical novelists of the early 20th century there was no more popular name than Lev Zhdanov. Most of his books are devoted to little-known pages of Russian history. The six-volume collected works of the writer include his best historical novels - chronicles and stories. Almost all have been out of print for over eighty years. The second volume includes a historical chronicle in two stories “Sagittarius at the Throne” (“Rus at the Turning Point”, “The Youth - Ruler”) and a historical story - a chronicle “The Wedding of the Recluse.”

For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.

Автор майстерно поєднує факти з художнім вигадуванням, створюючи захоплюючу хроніку, яка переносить читача в епоху стрільців і володарів. Дві повісті, що входять до цього тому, наповнені динамічними подіями, глибокими персонажами та емоційними конфліктами. Хоча текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, і в деяких місцях можуть бути незначні недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися чудовою історією. Я б рекомендував цю книгу всім, хто цінує якісну історичну прозу та хоче дізнатися більше про незаслужено забуті епізоди нашої історії. Читання цієї книги стало для мене справжнім відкриттям!
