The novel “Unfinished Solitaire” is based on the story of the investigation into a high-profile double murder committed in April 1888 in St. Petersburg. One of the victims of this crime was the sister of the famous ethnographer and traveler N. N. Miklouho-Maclay, who died by a strange coincidence a few days earlier (in the novel she appears under the surname Barclay). In 2006, an abridged version of the novel was published by the Krylov publishing house. This publication is the author's version of the text.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. Книга «Незакінчений пасьянс» вразила мене своєю глибиною та інтригуючим сюжетом. Автор вдало поєднав елементи детективу з історичними фактами, що робить читання не лише захоплюючим, але й пізнавальним. Розслідування подвійного вбивства, яке відбувається на фоні Санкт-Петербурга 19 століття, занурює читача в атмосферу того часу, а також дозволяє відчути напругу та загадковість, що супроводжує розкриття злочину. Персонажі прописані дуже детально, і їхні взаємини додають сюжету емоційної глибини. Хоча в тексті можуть бути незначні недоліки через автоматичний переклад, це не заважає насолоджуватися історією. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто любить детективи з історичним забарвленням та заплутаними сюжетами!
