This story has been exciting the imagination for decades. Books have been written about her, films have been made, and thousands of pages of Internet forums and blogs are dedicated to her. Over the decades, the authors of more than two dozen versions of varying degrees of authority and reliability have tried to fit strange and contradictory events into the Procrustean bed of their own logic, cutting off what contradicted it and adding what, in their opinion, should have been added. But the true picture of what happened on the evening of February 1, 1959 on the slope of Mount Kholatchakhl in the Northern Urals was never established. This book attempts to analyze all the information accumulated by 2012 on the fact of the mysterious death of Sverdlovsk tourists at the Dyatlov Pass. The main versions of what happened are analyzed, the sequence of actions of the participants in the drama is restored, the logic, cause-and-effect relationships and mutual conditionality of seemingly contradictory events are explained.
