Книга "Даруючий зірки" - це справжня перлина, яка занурює читача в атмосферу 1937 року в США, де Еліс, прагнучи втекти від задушливої атмосфери свого батьківського дому в Англії, знаходить себе в новому світі, який виявляється не таким ідеальним, як вона сподівалася. Автор майстерно описує боротьбу жінок за свої права та свободу, а також їхню рішучість у важких умовах. Історія про п'ятьох бібліотекарок, які доставляють книги в найвіддаленіші куточки Кентуккі, є не лише захоплюючою, але й надихає на роздуми про важливість освіти та культури. Дружба між Еліс та Елеонорою Рузвельт додає особливого шарму, а реальні події, на яких базується сюжет, роблять цю книгу ще більш значущою. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які не заважають загальному сприйняттю, я б рекомендував цю книгу всім, хто цінує сильні жіночі образи та історії, що надихають!
