Sergei Pakhomov is a brutal poet. An explorer, an adventurer and a yoke around his neck. His poems combine the difficult to combine: mythology and everyday reality, images of world culture and the realities of the Russian hinterland. Pakhomov lives on the Merezha River, where fish used to be scooped up in bags using merezhas. And this place is still not without fish. And the poems are given in “bags”, and in each line there is energy rushing outward. A book from the series of the “Volume of Writers” project (Vologda branch of the Union of Russian Writers).
