Duff McKagan played drums, guitar and bass in punk bands in Seattle before picking up his bass and moving to Los Angeles at age 20. There he and four new friends soon founded Guns N' Roses, whose Appetite for Destruction became the best-selling debut album in history. In 1994, McKagan barely survives a ruptured pancreas as a result of alcohol and drug abuse. After 13 years in GnR, he left the group to start a family and pursue an education at Seattle University. He creates the groups Loaded and Velvet Revolver, and briefly performs with Alice in Chains and Jane’s Addiction.

Книга "It's So Easy" - це не просто автобіографія, а справжня подорож у світ легендарного музиканта Даффа МакКегана. Він відкриває двері до свого життя, розповідаючи про дитинство, роки слави в Guns N' Roses, а також про свої боротьби з алкоголізмом і наркотиками. Читач отримує можливість зазирнути за куліси життя рок-зірки, дізнатися про стосунки з Акселом Роузом та інші цікаві моменти з історії групи. Особливо вражає, як Дафф зумів подолати свої демони і стати зразковим сім'янином, виховуючи двох доньок. Його історія надихає, і я вважаю, що вона повинна бути прочитана кожним, хто цікавиться не лише музикою, але й особистісним зростанням.
