Олександр Громов, колишній силовик, який пережив страшну втрату, постає перед читачем як складний і багатогранний персонаж. Його боротьба з алкоголізмом та думками про самогубство викликає співчуття і змушує задуматися про важливість підтримки та близьких стосунків. Особливо вразила сюжетна лінія з його дочкою Катю, яка, здавалося б, мертва, але продовжує з'являтися в його житті, змушуючи його стикатися з власними демонами. Взаємини з Поліною додають нових барв до його життя, і їхня динаміка стає важливим елементом сюжету. Хоча текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, що іноді призводить до незначних недоліків, це не заважає загальному сприйняттю книги.
