Роман І.Г. Лазутіна «Матроська тиша» є потужним продовженням теми, яку автор розпочав ще у 50-ті роки. У книзі порушуються важливі питання, такі як зміцнення законності, виховання молоді та боротьба зі злочинністю, що робить її надзвичайно актуальною для сучасного читача. Інтригуючий і динамічний сюжет тримає в напрузі до останньої сторінки, а персонажі, зокрема молоді герої, викликають симпатію та бажання стежити за їхнім розвитком. Хоча текст був перекладений з використанням штучного інтелекту, що призвело до деяких незначних недоліків у якості перекладу, загальна ідея та емоційний заряд твору залишаються на високому рівні.
