Much has been written about the work of the remarkable Russian prose writer Boris Ekimov, but perhaps the most capacious statement was the formulation of the Alexander Solzhenitsyn Prize, which he was awarded in 2008: “For the sharpness and pain in describing the lost state of the Russian province and the reflection of the ineradicable dignity of the humble person; for the source of living folk language that flows in the writer’s prose.”
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
