This volume includes works that represent the views of the founder of the French sociological school, E. Durkheim (1858–1917), on the content of sociological knowledge, its place in the human sciences and role in society. The first part of the book consists of one of the masterpieces of the world sociological classics - “The Method of Sociology”; the second part publishes small works by the author, created by him in different years. The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program.
