In a near-future world in which there are self-driving cars, talking furniture and a basic income for everyone, lives the narrator, a successful author of “plotless thrillers.” Things aren't going well for him: he just lost his elderly mother, and the publisher doesn't like his latest book. When an old friend calls him and invites him on a trip, he agrees without hesitation. So the heroes go in search of redemption and oblivion, and are helped in this by mocking robots and chatty self-driving cars. Published in Russian for the first time.
