The novel tells about the dramatic events of the liberation war of the Ukrainian people against Polish-gentry oppression (1648-1654). Епічна масштабність та динамічність сюжету роблять читання неймовірно захоплюючим, а образи персонажів - живими та реалістичними. Хоча текст перекладено з використанням штучного інтелекту, що іноді призводить до незначних неточностей, це не зменшує загального враження від твору.
