"August" is a legendary allegory novel written by the Polish writer Wojciech Chareszewski. The book tells the story of a younger brother who is looking for his older brother Augustus, who has gone missing. On his journey, he falls into a mysterious Masonic order, where people disappear, but new mysteries and secrets appear at the same time. The author skilfully combines philosophical reflections, mysticism and an adventure plot, revealing a deep meaning to the reader and at the same time mesmerizing him with riddles and secrets.
