Two friends, Jim Cash and Lou Erville, in search of work and a better life, set off on a homemade flying machine - a Longfair - from the hometown of Tauros to the rumored more prosperous city of Quinto. Автор майстерно створює атмосферу таємничості навколо зони "Чаша", де герої стикаються з небезпеками та викликами, які перевіряють їхню дружбу та рішучість. Якість перекладу, хоча й має деякі недоліки, не заважає насолоджуватися сюжетом. Ця книга спонукає задуматися про цінність дружби, сміливість у обличчі небезпеки та пошуки кращого життя. Рекомендую всім, хто любить пригоди та наукову фантастику!
