Two friends, Jim Cash and Lou Erville, in search of work and a better life, set off on a homemade flying machine - a Longfair - from the hometown of Tauros to the rumored more prosperous city of Quinto. Fleeing from the mafia that has followed them, they make an emergency landing in a mysterious, disastrous zone called the Chalice. This zone began to be called the Chalice because it was formed in the “Chalice of Joy” crater. But from the very beginning it did not bring anything good to people: those who went there did not return, the aircraft disappeared. Nevertheless, cartographic satellites did not record anything special in the Bowl - outwardly it looked like a lifeless desert. So, Jim and Lou get out from under the wreckage of Longfair...
