Автор створив неперевершену атмосферу детективного розслідування, що тримає в напрузі до останньої сторінки. Сюжет розгортається навколо загадкової смерті судді, і кожен новий поворот подій відкриває нові грані таємниць, які захоплюють читача. Особливо сподобалася динаміка між Томасом та Шарлоттою Пітт, їхнє взаєморозуміння та підтримка в розслідуванні надають історії емоційної глибини.
