"The Monkey Man" is a dystopian novel written by the American writer George Orwell. The book tells about a cruel world of the future, where every step of a person is controlled by a dictatorial government. The main character, Winston Smith, works for the Ministry of Truth, where he rewrites and twists history to suit the party's ideology.
In a country where all life is persecuted and the right to privacy is absent, Winston begins to question the ideals of the regime and searches for a way out of this system. In the book, the reader examines issues of power, freedom of speech, history and human values.
"The Monkey Man" is a prophetic allegory about how easy it can be to find yourself in a world where general uncertainty and stress fill every corner of existence.
