Історія про напад на репортера і його дружину в їхній квартирі, де виявляється, що нападник - мертвий сусід, вражає своєю оригінальністю та непередбачуваністю. Читачі разом з Пендергастом і Д'Агостою занурюються у світ таємного культу Обеа та вуду, що додає додаткового шарму і загадки до сюжету.
