Complete collection of letters of the outstanding Russian artist, thinker, historian, archaeologist, traveler and public figure Nicholas Roerich (1874–1947) from the manuscript department of the International Center of the Roerichs.N. K. Roerich is also known as the author of the international Treaty for the Protection of Artistic and Scientific Institutions and Historical Monuments (Roerich Pact). The first volume includes letters from 1896–1932, addressed mainly to H. I. and J. N. Roerich, employees of the Roerich Museum in New York, V. A. Shibaev, M. A. Taub, as well as Mme de Vaux Falipeau.
