In the history of Russian literature, Delvig is known primarily as a lyceum comrade, sincere friend and literary companion of Pushkin, who allegedly was entirely under his influence. Meanwhile, this idea of Delvig must be recognized as insufficient: although he was not very large, he was a talented and original poet and tried to follow an independent creative path.
