At a crisis in his second marriage, Ron Galloway dropped out of sight. Having said good-bye to his wife and his sons in Toronto, he started out for his hunting lodge, where he had invited some friends to spend the weekend with him. When Ron failed to appear, two of his friends, Ralph Turee and Harry Bream, took it upon themselves to investigate his disappearance. Книга "Повітря, яке вбиває" вразила мене своєю глибиною та складністю сюжету. Автор майстерно створює атмосферу напруги та загадки, яка тримає в напрузі до останньої сторінки. Історія Рона Геловея, його зникнення та подальші розслідування його друзів Ральфа та Гаррі розкривають не лише таємниці його життя, а й показують, як легко можна втратити себе у світі обману та ілюзій. Особливо вразила іронія, з якою подаються події, що відбуваються після його смерті, адже вони підкреслюють складність людських відносин і те, як мало ми знаємо один про одного. Книга змушує задуматися над тим, що може ховатися за звичайними обличчями, і які таємниці ми приховуємо від світу. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, загальне враження від читання лишається дуже позитивним. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто любить детективи з глибоким психологічним підтекстом!
