This book publishes an important part of the literary heritage of the outstanding Russian-Israeli poet Mikhail Gendelev (1950–2009), accompanied by real, textual and intertextual commentary. Along with previously unpublished or little-known lyric poems, the reader will find here a poem, lyrics, comic poems and poems for the occasion, an extensive block of translations and adaptations, selected prose (memoir essays, feuilletons, journalism, literary critical essays), and in addition to Gendelev’s own works - a series of articles devoted to various aspects of his poetics and textual analysis of his manuscripts.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
