My name is Alexander, my wife is Marina. We were born in the USSR, we live in Ukraine, in the city of Kharkov. By education we are engineers, by vocation I am a teacher of classical guitar, as well as a restaurant singer-musician, Marina is a poet. The book “In the Power of the Beast”, original title “Pain” "was written by us in 1996-1998. And only in 2011 we had the opportunity to publish several copies on our own through Samizdat. The illustrations for the book were made by our friend, the talented photo artist Sergei Goloveshko. What is the book “In the Power of the Beast” about? You can't tell it in a few words. I can say one thing: This book changed our lives. The Lord entered our hearts. He healed our child of tuberculosis when doctors began to suggest surgery. And only thanks to the Lord God did our girl recover. Here is a small excerpt from the novel: “Lately, Ivan was haunted by the same thought: was he going crazy. Contrary to common sense, an incomprehensible fear settled in him, which mercilessly tormented him, forcing him to write this strange book. Every time I sat down at the computer, Ivan felt like something dark, unknown was enveloping him with its tentacles, and then he lost control over himself. These sensations frightened and irritated him, although for everyone he remained the same. But Ivan, he himself knew that he had changed a lot. The future of the Earth lay before him like a silent shadow, and Ivan realized with horror that it depended entirely on him.
