Daineka opened the box found in a hiding place in the attic of her grandmother’s house. She saw a stack of papers - the letter “yat” flashed everywhere in them. It was a correspondence between the artist Nikolai Berezhny and Baroness Einaudi, whose hopeless romance ended tragically more than a hundred years ago... Barely coping with her excitement, Daineka carefully removed the baroness’s letter from the envelope. “I am sending you the bill of sale...” she wrote. Even before opening the second sheet, Daineka knew that it was the original.
