The story by Vasily Berezhny "Interplanetary Tornado" (Interplanetary Tornado, 1975 ) is another attempt to explain the origin of life on Earth. In the story, an alien ship observes a rare cosmic phenomenon - the convergence of two cosmic bodies, one of which, six times larger, with its attraction takes away all the atmosphere and water from the other. This is how favorable conditions were created on Earth and its dead satellite the Moon was formed.
