In the confession of Humbert Humbert, Lolita is a vicious nymphet, “an immortal demon in the form of a little girl.” Christophe Tizon rebels against this definition. Imagining that Lolita keeps a diary, like many teenage girls of those years, he tells us the story in the voice of Dolores-Lolita herself, revealing the feelings of a child that he knows firsthand, for he himself was subjected to violence as a child. The novel was awarded the Prix du Style. " I confess my unforgivable guilt: I wrote the diary of a fictional character. The silence of this paper heroine touched me, reminded me of my childhood, also stolen by an adult,” says Christophe Tizon. “I suddenly heard Lolita’s voice and finally deciphered her version of the American trip.” Contains obscene language
