Soviet cinema of the 1960s - early 1990s gave us a whole galaxy of brilliant actors: O. Dal, A. Solonitsyn, R. Bykov, M. Kononov, Yu. Bogatyrev, V. Dvorzhetsky, G. Burkov, O Yankovsky, A. Abdulov... They introduced a new image of a person into late Soviet films - living, natural, ambiguous, sometimes paradoxical. The fates of the actors themselves are also ambiguous. If the viewer imagines Solonitsyn as a philosopher and ascetic, Kononov as a simpleton, and Yankovsky as a dandy, then the book will allow one to see their more real characters. It will provide an opportunity to better understand the nerve of that time, and the country that disappeared like Atlantis, and how in its place a society arose, one of the main characters of which was embodied on the screen by Sergei Bodrov. Author Irina Kravchenko, journalist, art historian, known for articles in the popular magazines “STORY”, “Caravan of Stories” and others, used in this publication the memories she collected about the actors of their relatives, friends, and colleagues. The book will undoubtedly be of interest to a wide range of readers.
