Magic is a very, very expensive thing, and he gave away the balls for next to nothing, or even just gave them away. But the troubles and strangeness did not end there. The princess disappeared from the palace, despite all the guards, pages and ladies-in-waiting. Rose's mentor, the royal alchemist, was assigned to investigate this case.
