The monograph examines the problem of school education during the reforms of the Conservative, Liberal and Labor parties from 1870 to 1997. Different types of public schools, private institutions and church schools of different denominations are characterized and systematized. Increased attention is paid to the initiative of British churches, and primarily the state Church of England, which created the basis for primary education in England in the 18th century. and looked after special institutions for children with disabilities, as well as charitable women's schools. It is shown that in the 20th century. Church control over schools gradually weakened due to increased secularization and democratization of education. In practice, this was determined by the school policy of the parties - in favor of promoting a modern education system that takes into account the achievements of scientific progress. With a scientific approach to the topic, the monograph was written in the format of a popular science publication. The diagrams given in the appendix trace the process of reforming school education from 1870-1997. The publishing layout of the book is saved in PDF A4 format.
