Time is cyclical. The Moon waxes and wanes every month, and the Wheel of the Year turns. There is a wheel of human life, which consists of four phases. The Romans called them pueritia (childhood), iuventus (youth), virilitas (maturity) and senectia (old age). These phases corresponded to the seasons. We are children in the spring, full of youthful passions in the summer, reach maturity in the fall and grow old in the winter.

The Great Wheel (saeculum), which is divided into eight segments, performs a similar cycle. Each period lasts approximately ten years, and a complete revolution is approximately eighty years. We move around clockwise, experiencing each season in turn. It is impossible to skip a season or turn the wheel back and return to a previous period without going full circle.

The book describes in most detail the period of Winter, or the crisis that humanity is going through right now. The author talks about how to survive it as efficiently as possible, what lessons to learn, what rituals to carry out and how to be on the crest of a wave during a storm.

You will also be able to determine which generation (the greatest, silent, Lost, Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, Missionaries, Progressives, and Homelanders) you belong and what is your role in this challenging time in history.
