In the small book “The Path in the White Clouds, or Seven Hundred Steps to the Heaven of Your Own Heart,” the Orthodox foundations of spiritual development are presented in poetic form, which tell us about the difficult path of the human spirit, walking through the steps of spiritual growth to meet Christ. The author of the book - monk Simeon of Athos (hieromonk Simon (Bezkrovny)) - began his monastic journey in the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra under the care of the elder - Archimandrite Kirill (Pavlov). For a long time he labored in the Caucasus mountains, in Abkhazia. Currently lives in one of the monasteries of Holy Mount Athos. He took his pseudonym in memory of his father, the monk Simeon, who died on Mount Athos. These spiritual tips in verse were written during a high-altitude retreat in September 2013.
