The conscious life of A. S. Pushkin fell on a series of continuous wars waged by Russia: the Patriotic War of 1812, the foreign campaigns of the Russian army of 1813–1814, the Russian-Iranian (1826–1828) and the Russian-Turkish (1828–1829) ) wars, suppression of the uprising in Poland (1830–1831). From 1816 to 1859 the conquest of the North Caucasus took place. And the great poet responded to all these events. But the Napoleonic wars occupied a special place in his work. Many of the works of the brilliant poet are dedicated to them and their participants (many of whom he knew personally), which essentially opens a special page in Russian literature in his work - the battle history of Russia.
