“Even though there are almost no living ones, the memory of them will be immortal...” I found all my great-grandmothers and great-grandfathers alive, who are veterans of the Great Patriotic War. I heard their stories many times, which, as I grew older, were supplemented with new details. I looked into their eyes to understand and feel what they experienced. She held orders, medals and the most precious and fragile triangle letters in her hands. Now all this remains only in history. Alas, even those who have won the most terrible war are unable to beat time and gain eternal life. I and my generation are the last who had the opportunity to know and see veterans alive. But our sacred duty is to preserve the memory so that their feat is never forgotten. My contribution to the memory and tribute and gratitude to veterans is this collection of poems.
